EDUCATION

Creative, practical workshops encourage children and adults of all ages to develop new skills and confidence in a fun environment.

Drawing on more than 25 years' experience as a teacher in mainstream and special needs schools, the Green Carpenter designs projects ecouraging learning through a variety of senses.

The use of adapted or purpose-built tools enableparticipants to work directly with craft materials ranging from wood to play-doh! Music and strory-telling can be introduced to enhance the theme of each workshop and the overall approach is easily tailored to suit young people with autism or pmld.

Courses can be commissioned as 'one-off' events, or an ongoing series to tie-in with the school curriculum, vacation breaks or specific education themes.

LIVING HISTORY FOR THE CLASSROOM

As a re-enactor himself, the Green Carpenter has an alter-ego: Long Ned - a Tudor instrument maker and wood-turner who is availalble for educational workshops and demonstrations.

Ned also offers a variety of stories about his life in the lower strata of society, plus a wealth of songs an music that are ideal for sharing with pupils at Key Stages one and two of the national curriculum.

Previous engagements include work for English Heritage, The Mary Rose Trust, Kentwell Hall and Compton Verney.
